What is TopoXY?

TopoXY is a professional coordinate conversion and terrain analysis app for Romania. It converts between Stereo70 and WGS84 coordinate systems, provides elevation profiles, terrain analysis, and ANCPI ortophoto imagery.

Is TopoXY free?

TopoXY is free to download with core features available at no cost. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited conversions, removes ads, and provides access to all premium features.

What iOS version do I need?

TopoXY requires iOS 17.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone.

Coordinate Conversion

What is Stereo70?

Stereo70 (EPSG:31700) is the official coordinate projection system used in Romania for cadastral and topographic purposes. It is the standard used by ANCPI and Romanian surveyors.

How accurate are the conversions?

TopoXY uses the official mathematical transformations for Stereo70 ↔ WGS84 conversion. Results are suitable for professional use, but for official surveying or legal purposes, always verify with certified professionals.

Can I convert multiple coordinates at once?

Yes! TopoXY supports batch conversion. You can import multiple coordinates from clipboard and process them in bulk.

Privacy & Security

Does TopoXY upload my data?

No. All coordinate conversions and calculations happen locally on your device. Your coordinates are never stored on external servers.

What data does the app collect?

TopoXY uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and crash reporting. No personal data or coordinates are collected. Read our full Privacy Policy.

Can I use TopoXY offline?

Coordinate conversions work offline since all calculations happen on your device. Features like elevation profiles, terrain analysis, and map imagery require an internet connection.

Subscriptions & Payments

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open TopoXY → Settings → Tap the support card → Tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the screen.

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Yes, subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings.

Troubleshooting

The map or ortophotos are not loading

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Map tiles and ANCPI ortophotos require connectivity to load. Try force quitting and reopening the app.

Elevation data is not showing

Elevation profiles and terrain analysis require an internet connection to fetch data from Mapbox. Check your connectivity and try again.

The app is slow or crashes

Try closing other apps and restarting TopoXY. If the issue persists, restart your device. Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store.

My location is not accurate on the map

Location accuracy depends on your device's GPS signal. Ensure location services are enabled for TopoXY in iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services.
