What is TopoXY?

TopoXY is a professional coordinate conversion and measurement app for surveying professionals across 6 EU countries: Romania (Stereo 70), Poland (PUWG 1992), Czechia and Slovakia (S-JTSK Křovák), Italy (Gauss-Boaga) and Germany (ETRS89 / UTM). It converts between each country's national CRS and WGS 84, measures distance, bearing, area and perimeter, and analyzes terrain slope, with satellite map imagery.

Is TopoXY free?

TopoXY is free to download and conversions are never capped. Pro adds bulk import from CSV or TXT, the full screen expanded map and slope analysis, and removes ads.

What device do I need?

On iPhone, TopoXY requires iOS 17.0 or later. On Android, it requires Android 7.0 or later.

Which national CRS does each country use?

How accurate are the conversions?

Sub-metre for Romania, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Germany, and roughly 1 to 3 m for Italy, which ships without an NTv2 grid. The app shows your country's tier on the conversion screen. The projection maths is checked against PROJ, the library behind QGIS and GDAL. For official cadastral submissions, results must be verified by a licensed surveyor under each country's regulations.

Can I convert multiple coordinates at once?

Yes! TopoXY supports batch conversion. You can import multiple coordinates from clipboard and process them in bulk.

Privacy & Security

Does TopoXY upload my data?

No. All coordinate conversions and calculations happen locally on your device. Your coordinates are never stored on external servers.

What data does the app collect?

TopoXY uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and crash reporting. No personal data or coordinates are collected. Read our full Privacy Policy.

Can I use TopoXY offline?

Coordinate conversions and measurements work offline since all calculations happen on your device. Features like slope analysis and map imagery require an internet connection.

Subscriptions & Payments

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time. On iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Subscriptions.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open TopoXY → Settings → Tap the support card → Tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the screen.

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Yes, subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings or in Google Play.

Troubleshooting

The map is not loading

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Map tiles (standard and satellite) require connectivity to load. Try force quitting and reopening the app.

Elevation data is not showing

Slope analysis requires an internet connection to fetch elevation data from Mapbox. Check your connectivity and try again.

The app is slow or crashes

Try closing other apps and restarting TopoXY. If the issue persists, restart your device. Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

My location is not accurate on the map

Location accuracy depends on your device's GPS signal. On iPhone, enable location for TopoXY in Settings → Privacy → Location Services. On Android, in Settings → Apps → TopoXY → Permissions.
