About TopoXY
TopoXY turns your phone into a pocket surveying toolkit. It converts coordinates between national grids and GPS, measures distances, bearings and areas, and analyzes terrain, with the same engineering-grade precision on iOS and Android.
What TopoXY does
- Converts coordinates between Stereo 70 (EPSG:3844) and WGS84 (GPS) to centimeter-level agreement with PROJ and QGIS
- Measures distance, bearing, area and perimeter between surveyed points
- Analyzes terrain slope between two points using elevation data
- Imports points in bulk from CSV or TXT files
- Shows standard and satellite maps, and navigates to any point with Google Maps or Waze
Countries and coordinate systems
TopoXY supports the national grids of six EU countries:
- Romania: Stereo 70 (EPSG:3844)
- Poland: PUWG 2000
- Czechia and Slovakia: S-JTSK (Krovak)
- Italy: Gauss-Boaga
- Germany: ETRS89 / UTM
Built for surveyors
TopoXY works without an account: you open it and get to work. The interface is available in English, Romanian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Italian and German, and coordinates are formatted the way each country expects them.
A TopoXY Pro subscription unlocks advanced measurements, the expanded map, terrain analysis, and removes ads.
IMPORTANT: TopoXY is an engineering aid. Coordinate conversions and terrain data are provided for informational purposes. For official cadastral or legal work, always verify results with a licensed surveyor and certified equipment.
